Biography
Shankar belongs to a renowned family of musicians from the music land of India, Palghat. He left his highly paid job as a banker in a Foreign Bank to take up his passion of music full time in 2006 after shifting to Bangalore. Over a decade now, his music has evolved with time creating a “wow” experience for his audience. “The music of Shankar can leave you mesmerized and asking for more”…these are the words of few of his fans. Though he looks calm and quite but the moment he steps on the stage, it’s just magic all around. Very few singers have the capability of performing with the naughtiness of Kishore Kumar, romance of Rafi, depth of Mukesh, mellowness of Hemanth Kumar, youth of Udit Narayan, craziness of Sonu Nigam, Soothness of Shaan, sufiness of Nusret Fateh Ali Khan, charm of Mohit Chauhan, madness of Atif Aslam, Arijit Singh…..and the list can go on…..Shankar is one of those few Singers with the best hindi orchestra in Bangalore. He is famously known as the “Ten” language Singer as he can perform in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Marwari, Gujarati, Bengali, Oriya and English. The shows and events of Star Singer Shankar are being handled by the music company Seasons.
